I’m in first year university and I’m feeling pretty lost about what I want to go into and if the classes I’m taking are right. I was thinking of advertising as a possibility but I have no clue how to even get into it. Do you need to go into business/commerce? Or can you get an undergrad degree in, for example, history or english? Is there a certain program you would try to get into for your undergrad?

As the title says, I’m planning to enter the advertising industry under the creative dept. I’m going to get my bachelor’s in advertising design but I have no idea what to get my master’s in. Any advice? Thanks.

I would like to major in advertising when I get done with High School and was wondering if anyone knew any good colleges that had good advertising departments.

I am majoring in Advertising, but I’m not sure about what to minor in (Area of Concentration). I like the creative track; not so much the sales part of it. Any subjects I should take up in specific? I want to be able to compliment my major in a useful manner so it’s not just a useless “on-the-side”. I like drawing and creating if that helps.

I want to major in advertising but not many colleges offer it and the colleges that do there sort of hard to get into. I want to go to asu or some other school but they dont offer advertising. What could/should i do?

I hope one day to work for a magazine company in their advertising department. My guess is the most useful information I will be taught will be on the job experience but I want to have the upper hand in getting my foot in the door. Any ideas?
Right now I go to the local University and with some luck I won’t have any student loans when I finish my four year degree.
As of now I’m double majoring in Journalism and Media Studies(the closest thing that’s offered to advertising) as well as Women’s Studies.

I want to go into advertising (commercials preferably) but, there aren’t any advisors anywhere around here that know much about it. Im attending a jr.college but, i plan to transfer to the University of Texas at Austin to get my degree in advertising. the only problem is…i dont know what classes would help me further my career. helllp. :] thank you so much.

I am currently attending Georgia State University and I’m in the marketing program, but I don’t intend on staying there. I would like to transfer within the next year or so but I’m not familiar with many schools with advertising majors.

I have read alot into Brown University, and absolutly love everything I find out about Brown. I think I may have a good chance at being accepted if I keep working hard throught high school, but does anyone know if Brown would be a good place to go to study advertising, marketing,etc?

I wanted to know which school offers a program for second bachelor’s degree and would also transfer some credits. Does anyone know what the standard GPA would be for Advertising?? I applied to MSU but they got me confused with the requirements for Ad. something about taking additional 30 credits???? Help!!!….Thank you.
