Advertising


I’m trying to get some private students, although I am new to the area. What I’ve learned is that it’s tough to be the “newbie” on the block. I am gradually getting my name out through local music organizations and stuff, but that’s taking time. My plan is to send out letters (w/flier included) to area band/music directors and hand deliver ones to schools in my neighborhood. I am also planning on contacting local music shoppes as well.

For those of you who teach privately, what are some other ideas on advertising and getting students? I’d appreciate any other ideas that you may have.
